Attention Students / Grades 9 - 11

The school counseling team at Stoneham High School is pleased to announce that we are introducing a new system called Scoir to help you and your student navigate the college selection and application process.  Scoir will take the place of the system we currently use, Naviance.  Naviance will be available through the month of June for students to access in order to help them transition any college or career information over to their Scoir account.

Students will receive an email invitation from Scoir next week in order to gain access to the system and in turn can send you an email invitation so that you can link to their account. As a parent or guardian, you will be able to view their profiles, see their college list, conduct your own college searches, and suggest colleges for your student to consider. Scoir also provides parents with financial tools so that you can get a better sense of the cost of attendance at various colleges during the selection process.

We are excited to be able to provide Scoir to our students and families, and we feel confident that you will find it helpful and easy to use. Please reach out to your student’s counselor if you have any questions.

Attention Grade 11 / Class of 2023

Dear Juniors!

We are pleased to announce that Stoneham High School is introducing a new college planning system called Scoir. We have chosen Scoir to help you navigate the college selection and application process because it is simply the best system available for discovering colleges that match your personal as well as academic interests.  This system will replace our current platform, Naviance.  You will have access to your Naviance account through the month of June.  If you have done career assessments that you would like to keep, you should print your reports.  In addition, you should transfer your college lists to Scoir, as they will not transfer over.  If you have any questions, please reach out to your counselor.   Attention Juniors / Class of 2023

Next week, you will receive an email invitation from Scoir to register your account, please be on the lookout for it!  Once you create your account, you can:

·  immediately begin using Scoir to search for and start building a list of colleges that interest you

·  check out YouScience (a career and aptitude assessment)

·  use Scoir to request letters of recommendation from faculty and to request the sending of academic transcripts in the fall

We are excited to be able to provide Scoir to our students and families, and we feel confident that you will find it helpful and easy to use.
