Our preschool classrooms are designed with a comprehensive range of services within a consistent, structured, and supportive environment for students aged three through five.  Our curriculum is child-centered, evidence-based and offers developmentally appropriate play-based learning activities for all preschool children.  Within our classrooms, children form a community whereby we learn from each other’s strengths and differences.  Diversity in our classrooms is appreciated, encouraged and is an ongoing part of our everyday classroom life.

Our preschool teachers are highly qualified, caring, professional educators. Our dedicated staff seeks to nurture the whole child by giving attention to all areas of development; physical, cognitive, speech and language, social and emotional, and academic.  The curriculum emphasizes “hands-on” exploration and concrete experiences. Activities are often open-ended so each child can experience success at his or her own level of development. Play is considered an important aspect of our programming, and learning through play is encouraged through materials such as paint, blocks, sand, water, dramatic play, books and manipulatives.  In addition to our classroom teachers, our program is supported by an outstanding group of related service providers.  All related service providers are licensed and certified in their individual fields, this includes; Speech and Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and School Psychologists.

Children who have received Early Intervention services are referred to us when they are close to turning three years of age. We work closely with Early Intervention and parents/caregivers to ensure a smooth transition into our integrated preschool program.  Children with moderate to severe special needs receive therapy and in class support from their teachers, classroom aides and related service providers, depending on their individual needs. Children's full participation in classroom activities and play are supported by teachers and related service personnel.

We are currently using a curriculum based on the Tools of the Mind Model. Please search “Tools of the Mind” to learn more about this innovative and transformative curriculum. In addition to Tools of the Mind, teachers plan units and lessons based upon the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.  You can view the frameworks on the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's Website.
