Dr. DeFrancisco 
Superintendent of Stoneham Public Schools

Dr. Kristin DeFrancisco has been in education for just about 30 years.  Her classroom and building experience has ranged from various grade levels as a classroom educator in middle school and elementary school to an administrator in both of those spaces as well.  Her time as an Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment in Groton Dunstable Regional School District allowed her a front seat view into the Superintendency where she was able to gain experience in all aspects of school district leadership.  She lives in Arlington with her husband, two daughters and their good girl (most of the time) Golden Doodle Winnie.  When she is not thoroughly enjoying being the Superintendent of Schools here in Stoneham, you can probably find her either at a concert listening to her favorite music, on Lake Winnipesaukee enjoying a boat ride or in an ice cream shop indulging in a favorite flavor on a waffle cone……with sprinkles.  Dr. DeFrancisco is finding her position here in Stoneham rewarding and feels lucky to be doing this important work.  She wants to thank the Stoneham community for being so welcoming in her first few months of the role.  She is looking forward to being able to engage in long range strategic planning with all of the stakeholders in Stoneham in order to grow the Stoneham Public Schools in ways that meet the needs of all of its families and students.
