Principal's Message 11/20/22

November 24, 2022

November 24, 2022

November 20, 2022

Greetings,

Hoping you have had a good weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead and your Thanksgiving celebration.  As I write this weekly message I am reminded how thankful I am for the commitment and dedication of all members of our school community; students, parents - caregivers, teachers and all faculty.

Below I share with you announcements of students earning acknowledgement for their artistry or academic performance through Quarter One and / or MCAS results. These recognitions demonstrate achievement of high standards and performance and the results of students’ hard work and commitment; This is certainly the Spartan Way!

This past week has been a showcase of our successful Fall Athletics Season with both Boys and Girls Soccer Final Four action and Boys Football advancement to the Division 6 State Championship.   Shout out also to our Girls Volleyball, Girls Field Hockey, Boys and Girls XC, Boys and Girls Swimming and SHS Cheerleading teams for a positive and successful season of tournament play and strong invitational performance.  All teams have represented Stoneham High School with the highest standard of sportsmanship and that Spartan Spirit!

Behind these successes in the classroom, on the field or in some other activities that are part of the High School experience are teachers, ESP’s, Counselors, Specialists, Coaches, Administrators, Cafeteria Workers and Custodians that somehow, somewhere, whether in great or small contribution or with awareness or not, had some impact to support and encourage our students and their achievements.  Never underestimate the power of influence from your support and encouragement.

Parents and caregivers are critical to this success with their support of students as well as the school community with active involvement and participation.  Your involvement is essential and a strength of the Spartan Learning Community.

It is for this I am thankful; our students, faculty and the households of our students, and their continued commitment and contributions to our learning community.

Here's to a positive and fun Spirit Week including a lip dup and pep rally on Wednesday.

I wish you all a safe holiday break, Happy Thanksgiving.

Best,

Bryan Lombardi
