Good Afternoon South Families,
It is hard to believe we are headed into our last full week of school in September. Our students have adjusted well to our rigorous and engaging learning environment. It has been really great to walk into classrooms and see how focused our students are in their learning.
100% of our students completed their DIBELS Assessment so we are now focused on reviewing this data and placing students in groups for our Success Blocks. Our Success Blocks at South are designed to flexibly group students by grade based on their specific needs and support targeted interventions in literacy. We run our Success Blocks on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays each week.

Stoneham Youth Lacrosse: Stoneham Youth Lacrosse presents another season of "SCOOPS" for boys and girls ages 3-8 interested in trying lacrosse. The only equipment needed is a stick and a smile. 4 week Fall program starting 9/17 at Robin Hood, sign up below:

Thursday, September 25th: Back to School Night from 5:30 to 7:00. This event is a great opportunity for parents and caregivers to meet their child’s teachers and learn about the expectations and routines in each classroom. 5:30 to 5:45 will be a Meet and Greet and some quick thoughts from myself and Ms. Alexa LoRe in the cafeteria. We will then run two sessions so you have the opportunity to hear from your child’s grade level teacher and Specialists Teachers and Support Staff. 6:05 to 6:25 will be our 1st rotation and 6:30 to 6:55 will be our 2nd rotation. Ms. LoRe and myself will be in the cafeteria throughout the evening to answer any questions or to hear any thoughts or suggestions you may have for us. We will also have several tables set up in the lobby to help connect you with local activities and sports Stoneham has to offer. We hope to see you Thursday evening at some point between 5:30 and 7:00!
